Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Munley

Physical Education
I am originally from the Philadelphia area and grew up very involved with sports and music. My list of higher education degrees includes a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Miami, a Bachelor of Science degree from West Chester State University, and a Master of Science degree from Indiana State University. I am a retired certified athletic trainer who transitioned to teaching in order to spend more time with my children. I completed course work in conjunction with the University of West Florida en route to becoming a teacher. Presently I am certified in K-12 physical education, K-12 health, and have The Competency Two Reading Endorsement. My years of teaching have given me a varied experience. I have taught grades kindergarten through twelfth. I have taught at a charter school, at a private school, and in public schools. Working at Wellington Landings is definitely my most favorite teaching position. I am blessed to be here.
Soccer is one of my favorite sports. I have a USSF National D coaching license and a USC Goalkeeper 2 license. I have coached both high school and youth soccer. My only current coaching role is as a coach for VIP soccer at Okeeheelee AYSO Region 345. VIP soccer is an adapted soccer program for children with physical and/or mental disabilities. My husband is also a VIP soccer coach, and our sons are involved as player buddies. We love being involved with soccer as a family and love the rewarding experience working with these children and their families. If you would like more information about the program, including how your child can become a player buddy and receive volunteer hours for doing so, email me at alexandra.munley@palmbeachschools.org.
In my time away from work, I enjoy being with my family and friends. I also enjoy CrossFit, the beach, the Rapids Water Park, and reading. I cheer for all the Philadelphia pro sports teams, the Florida Panthers, and of course, my Miami Hurricanes.
It is a pleasure having the opportunity to educate your children about sports, fitness, and health. You can check out my Twitter handle, @coach_munley, to view some of the activities we do in class.
